Grouper (Epinephelus Spp) belong to the family Serranidae and subfamily Epinephelinae. Grouper are large mouthed, heavy bodied fishes and the number species can range upto 234. Length and weight of Grouper can range depending on the species and the area they are found. They live around rocky bottom upto 1000 feet down. Grouper is a white fleshed fish with firm and meaty texture and large flakes.
