Horse Mackerel (Trachurus Trachurus) is also known as European Horse Mackerel and belongs to the family Carangidae. Horse Mackerel are usually found in Eastern Atlantic Oceand off Europe and Africa. Common length is around 22 cm and are usually found at the depths around 320 to 650 feet. Horse Mackerel have an oily delicate texture and pleasant flavor and are considered to be a good source of omega-3 fatty acids.
