Ribbonfish (Trichiurus Lepturus) also known as Hairtail Fish or Beltfish belongs to the cutlassfish family. Ribbonfish are found world wide in mostly tropical and temperate oceans. Depending where they are caught, the average size as per commercial fishery, ranges from 100 grams to 4 kgs. Ribbonfish has mildly sweet taste and delicate flavor.
