Butterfish (Perilus Medius) also known as Pacific Harvestfish belongs to the family Stromateidae and found in Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. They are usually found at the depts of 30 to 200 feet and can grow in lengths upto 33 cm. It has a distinctive, rich, butterfy texture and flavor.
