Sockeye Salmon (Oncorhynchus Nerka) also known as red salmon is a species of salmon found in the North Pacific Ocean. They are usually found at the depths of 50 to 110 feet. Average weight of Sockeye Salmon ranges between 2 to 8 lbs and average length about 60 cm. It’s flesh is deep red with a firm texture and rich flavor.
