Snow Crab (Chionoecetes Opilio) is a specie of crab belonging to the family Orgegoniidae. Snow Crabs are native to Northwest Atlantic and North Pacific. In Northwest Atlantic they are found usually around Greenland, Newfoundland and on Scotian Shelf. In North Pacific, they are found in Alaska, through Bering Strait, Japan and Korea. Snow Crabs are usually found at depths from 200 to 1000 feet. Snow Crabs have slightly sweet taste and tender texture.
