Silver Pomfret (Pampus Argenteus) also known as White Pomfret is a specie of butterfish mainly found around the Indo Pacific West and belong to the family Stromateoidei. Silver Pomfret or White Pomfret are found at the depths between 5 to 250 feet and weight from 100 grams to 1000 grams. It has firm, white flesh with moderate texture.
