Loligo Squid (Loligo Duvauceli) also known as Indian Squid belongs to the family Loliginidae is mainly found in the Indian Ocean and upto South China Sea. They are found at depths upto 500 feet. As per commercial fisheries the weights can range from under 100 to over 400 grams but averaging between 50 to 300 grams. Loligo Squid has a mild taste and firm texture.
