Giant Squid (Dosidicus Gigas) also known as Humboldt Squid or Jumbo Squid is found in the Easter Pacific Ocean and belongs to the family Ommastrephidae. Giant Squid are usually found at the depths between 600 to 2500 feet. They can grow to over 100 lbs in weight, however, as per the commercial fishery, there weight ranges between 8 to 40 lbs. It has a firm texture with mildly sweet taste.
