Alaska Pollock (Theragra Chalcogramma) is also known as walleye pollock and closely related to Atlantic Cod. Alaska Pollock is a semipelagic schooling fish widely distributed in the North Pacific Ocean with largest concentrations in the eastern Bering Sea. Pollock can grow to 90 cm approximately but usually range between 30 to 50 cm in lengths and weight 1 to 3 lbs. Alaska Pollock has a mild taste with large flakes and low oil content.
